Name: Balhibor
Age: Younger than he acts, but older than he looks.
Gender: Male
Appearance/description: Balhibor is an average healthy adult male dirbnoil without the usual assortment of heroic battlescars hidden beneath his auburn feathers; ancestral markings; full lustrous wings; deep-set, intense, ponderous eyes. Imperceptible numbness in leftpaw foreclaws.
Personality: Among Balhibor's primary traits are a propensity for shooting first and asking questions later - he practices a brash, better-to-apologize-later-than-ask-permission approach to uncertain scenarios. In addition, he has a strong aversion for emotional responses; he distrusts as tricks or traps his own fleeting feelings toward fellow creatures and eschews signals that others he encounters are just fellow travellers on life's pathway.
History/past experiences: You might say that Balhibor is a product of his generation's LACK of history. Since he grew up during a period of peace and easy living, his only knowledge of actual battle and hardship comes from his elders. So he is somewhat conflicted, but is fully prepared, expecting, sharpening his talons for the phantoms of the legendary past to rear their ugly heads.
Phobia: Balhibor detests getting his wings wet. It makes no sense, since rain just rolls right off, but for whatever reason, he just cannot stand wet wings. It may seem silly, but in certain circumstances, it is a crippling disorder he wrestles with.
Obsession: Balhibor has never seen the end of the ocean. But he wants very badly to find out what else is out there after all that water. He thinks about it every day. But whenever he has flown as far as his wings would take him, he has always had to turn back, inconclusiveky, in fear and defeat. The end of the ocean is, for Balhibor, like some far off heaven. Does it exist?
